IMPERDIBLES: Faith No More
Sin duda, una de las bandas trascendentales dentro de la historia del rock. Eclecticismo y capacidad de sorprender la hicieron única. Desde el increíble "We care a lot" hasta "Pristina", Faith no More ha sido uno de los grandes aportes a este mundo de riffs, tarros, melodías y sarcasmos. Inclasificables por esencia, no se allegaron a ninguna moda, mientras desfilaban por nuestros oídos movimientos como el grunge (cuya presencia es anecdótica dentro del contexto en el que estamos ubicados)FNM se mantuvo al margen, con un sonido a veces heavy "happy" metal, funk, hard rock, punk, pop y hasta bossa nova, entre otros estilos.
Como toda gran banda, FNM se formó a partir de los iluminados Billy Gould, Roddy Bottum, Jim Martin, Mike Bordin y Mike Patton (mención honrosa para el gran Chuk Mosely), donde el primero de ellos es, indefectiblemente el líder, fundador y principal compositor.
Lamentablemente, me quedé con las ganas de verlos en vivo, sólo alcancé a sintonizar la transmisión que dieron en el recién fundado Canal 2 durante el Monster of Rock (obviamente era más interesante para mi familia ver las noticias -el recital lo dieron a la misma hora- motivo por el cual sólo lo vi unos minutos). Esto en realidad es un detalle, considerando lo fundamental: FNM ha sido una fuente inagotable de aprendizaje musical y de reconocer que lo único importante es trabajar y crear de acuerdo a un criterio de apertura y, por supuesto, calidad. Como dijo el gran Hermann Hesse "La vida de cada hombre es un camino hacia sí mismo, el ensayo de un camino, el boceto de un sendero".

Hi, I was browsing the Web and came accross your site. I am pretty new to blogging and everything but it seems pretty fun.
